Q: What is Toxic Media?

A: Toxic Media is free form network of artists, writers, music makers, film and video creators, poets, dreamers, and layabouts. The idea is to express ourselves and get copies of our stuff out to you for the lowest price we can possibly handle. Toxic Media is a way of life. We offer you hints and ideas of a different slant. Expose yourself to us, think about what we have to say, then make up your own mind... it's all we ask.

Toxic Media is not "COOL". We are not in this for the money, for the sex, or to become "ROCK STARS". Face it: You'd have to be pretty damn neurotic to want to become famous. Sure... most of us had less than perfect childhoods but we choose not to dwell on it, or to make people like you pay for it. Our problems are our own business.

Toxic Media is weird. We promise! It's very doubtful you'll ever hear us on the radio or see us on TV... well, maybe someday... like when Satan installs a ski lift. Have fun with our stuff, we do.

Q:Why is Toxic Media?

A:I once read something in an old copy of Omni Magazine. A bunch of people (scientists, artists, think tank types, and the like) were asked for their predictions on life in the nineties. One of the guys they asked was David Byrne. He said that what with cheaper keyboards and other musical machines being introduced in the marketplace every year a whole lot of strange and totally different forms of music would be created in basements and bedrooms by anyone who could figure out how to hook these machines up to a tape deck. Of course computer programs would make this even easier. We got tired of waiting for this "NEW WAVE" of sounds and ideas and decided to make our own.

Q:Who is Toxic Media?

A:Normal, Everyday folk just like you. We're tired and bored and want to help things change a bit. It's not a big deal, it's just a thing. The interesting thing to me is that most of us don't really known how to play music very well. The big hope is that other people with limited skills will do the same thing. Face facts, Man: Corporated music stinks most of the time, right? If you agree with this collect some friends and some stuff to bang on and make music of your own. There's no reason you can't... no reson at all.
